Baylor Scott And White Health

This is the WORST facility! It should be criminal to do this to people. I was quoted and paid $226 for my visit. I called prior for details, because it should have been $50. They said it was because I hadn't met my deductible. Then I received a $1500 bill. I will not be paying a penny over $226. They said estate. They knew exactly what I was going in for. There was no reason, other than a total scam!

I fired the doctor that I was working with because of distrust. She did not want to take care of me, she wanted to follow a plan out of a textbook. She ordered lab tests that were not necessary, never explained the cost and I nowI owe this fly by night organization over 1000.00 dollars.Be ready for the WAR because I am not paying this.

I arrived at the emergency room on Dec 15th around 12:30 pm. Symptoms of throwing up, pain in lower abdomen. Diagnosed as bowel obstruction, possible surgery!? In the room in the er was given a morphine shot and IG tube inserted. Finally went to my room. Feeling better but not good. That night and the next day there was no attempt to resolve my possible obstruction. The game changed for some reason to my sugar levels. I understand that part, but never an attempt to check on the other. No testing or procedures for bowel obstruction. They only asked if I had pooped! No! You can go home when you *** Please tell me how to *** without help in this situation??? If tube taken out on Dec 18th. Keep solid foods down you can go home! Done! Why was there not some type of consultation with a GI doctor. Nothing! Last of all I walked myself off the unit bag in hand with no idea where to go! No wheelchair or assistance!!! This was st the McKinney hospital.

I've never understood how healthcare systems work. I spent plenty of my years blindly trusting that these people with supposed degrees in their field knew what they were doing and never batted an eye in another direction. When I spoke with an ex-employee, the picture became mortifying. I had bowel issues from who knows where began shortly after starting my new job. I visited with a PCP of the BSW branch with hopes of figuring out what may be the problem and possible fixes for it. I spent the next 1 1/2 years jumping between specialists who claimed to know the problem and it got worse as the months passed by. The first specialist told me to prepare for chemo as I have Cancer. The second provider informed me (2 months after informing my family of the very serious and sad news) that I DIDN'T have Cancer but rather Krohn's disease. I went to an internal medicine within the same branch to be told I quote, "This isn't really my problem" and sent me home. After thousands of dollars and multiple scares along the way, I settled in my own time and considered that my problem was simply that I wasn't getting enough physical exercise. The amount of worry me and my family went through to prepare for these misguided diagnoses alongside the horrible care that I received I vowed never to trust or believe in any BSW-associated party. After meeting with an ex-employee, I learned that BSW doesn't care about helping you. They care about money. For anyone reading this, only ever pay 10%, that is all they can genuinely ask for. The bills split up dramatically after they were out of BSW's hands, and after $4,00 worth of medical bills and ignoring phone calls, I paid an amount equal to $600. I have had the worst experience with BSW and will not suggest anyone seek genuine medical care from them. you will only ever be left with a hefty bill and many more problems than what you started with.

I would seriously give zero stars. Pros: ZERO Cons: Too many to list, infinity and beyond! The doctors there do not want to treat patients. You can have the most complex, complicated medical condition, and they will only schedule your appointment with a nurse. Doctors cannot be bothered with speaking to you. You can leave hundreds of messages, and they will all be ignored. Are you dying? Great, they can schedule an appointment to see you 6 months from the date of your death. Have you been admitted into the ICU because you are literally dying? Perfect! I hope you do not expect a diagnosis because they cannot provide one. But they will advise you to stay in the ICU because you might actually die if you do not stay. But keep in mind, they still cannot tell you what is wrong with you. That would require them providing a diagnosis, which they dont do. Do you need any kind of test that might provide answers to what is causing your health problems? Well too bad! You are out of luck. All of the above has been my personal experience with the Baylor Scott and White healthcare system. I should also mention that I have a Baylor Scott and White insurance plan as well. And of course other doctors and hospitals do not accept BSW insurance plans. When I go to doctors (Texas Oncology) not affiliated with BSW or other imaging centers (ARA) I self pay. So for me, I am spending at least $800 a month for a worthless insurance plan. I am spending anywhere from $200 to $600 for everything I self pay for. I have only had BSW for this year (2023). Furthermore, I 100% plan on switching to anything else for 2024.

We are having to find a new doctor again, second time I the past 2 years. Why cant you keep doctors in Midlothian? And why is it that we have to fill out all the paperwork as if we are a NEW patient? Also, we called last Wednesday to find a new doctor here and was told they would call us back within 48 hours. No calls so we called today only to hear that none of the other doctors will take our disabled daughters Medicare/Medicaid

Having to find a new doctor twice in the past two years. Why should we have to keep applying to a new doctor as a NEW patient? Its ridiculous that doctors and PAs for our disabled daughter keep leaving Midlothian and we are treated as new patients every time. We keep her records up to date. We found a PA in Mansfield that she can see in December so that we can keep her home health going, NO THANKS TO BAYLOR. We are again told that we have to complete a new patient packet. Feeling like Baylor really doesnt care for their patients.

Attack that was new at this location did not understand the machine and I was injured my back my breast were black and blue my hand now has assist on it from an injury and my leg they wrote me a letter indicating they are not liable for my injuries during a routine membrane so now they are writing me therapy and they gave me pain medicines and all kinds of medicines muscle relaxant etc and they have done an investigation on themselves and they are not liable what do you think about that horrible service and I may turn around and ask for legal aid. The patient relations was very rude to me her name was Newman and was horrible and was condescending not professional I've never had this happen to me before and something has to be done I would never go back for another mammogram at this location ever. Stay far away from the mammogram is what I would suggest everyone

Try to get an appointment and you cant. Have a medical situation and need a prescription, not happening. Useless people who work harder not to work than they would if they actually worked. Look for other providers, Scott and White is the worst want to be provider in Texas.

I called technical support for help accessing my account and the lady hung up on me twice without helping at all.

My daughter worked for aramark at bsw in marble falls texas. The manager Richard demanded she come in on her days off and work by herself doing more work than expected for 1 person. She wasn't allowed breaks but they took 30 minutes when she couldn't take a break. She was demeaned and berated each day by Richard her manager told she failed him when she put in her noticed

Diane the same thing happened to my husband as did your father at Baylor in Waco, TX. They misdiagnosed my gm husband & he almost died. He would have died if I had not been at his side every single day!!!!! This company is Heartless & the doctors we had are terrible!!!!!!

My daughter needed emergency surgery on her knee, The day of surgery I got a call from the Baylor Scott White Williamson, Billing Manager who demanded $5,000 upfront or the surgery would be cancelled. I called the Surgery nurse and she said surgery was necessary and to come in and fill out financial assistance application. I did that and paid the required 10% down payment of $1,900.00. After the surgery I get a bill for $24K, I called in and was told my application was not complete. Another agent said I would be approved and would only owe 1%. It never got approved or disapproved. When did this hospital become for profit? Horrible customer and billing service.

Baylor, Scott and White Medical Center along with their doctors are rationing treatment and making life or death medical decisions to withhold treatment based on their patients age, comorbidities, and chance of survival. Simply put, they are playing god by denying necessary standard of care treatment. Specifically, nephrologist Dr. Sana Ahmed denied critically necessary dialysis treatment to my dad on the basis of the fact that she didnt believe it would change the outcome. Yet, the next nephrologist gave him a 15% chance of survival. In essence, by denying treatment, Dr. Sana Ahmed signed a death warrant for my father, giving him a 0% chance of survival. Without dialysis, he is bloating up with fluid, has a high potassium level, and will eventually die of a heart attack. She chose to kill him. I begged her to allow the hospital to give him the dialysis but she would not and instead chose his course of imminent death. She did not give him a chance. Specifically, after a stint in the hospital, my father was recovering from Sepsis in a rehab facility and in total quarantine for 14 days. Somehow he managed to catch Covid in this environment. Although we managed to get him the monoclonal antibody treatment within 24 hours, he still managed to get Covid pneumonia and would up in the ICU. We chose Baylor, thinking that as a teaching institution, they would have the best state-of-the-art treatments and equipment. Unfortunately, that was far from the truth. While battling Covid, his kidneys failed, apparently something that happens in up to 50% of Covid ICU cases. Dr. Sana Ahmed absolutely refused to allow him to undergo dialysis as she did not believe that it would change the outcome of his prognosis. By choosing this, she signed his death warrant as you cannot survive without use of your kidneys. Unable to eliminate fluids, his body is bloating up with water along with potassium which will eventually cause a heart attack. The dialysis was a readily available treatment to keep him comfortable while we were awaiting other test results. Instead, Dr. Sana Ahmed along with Baylor chose to play god and have him die in a cruel heartless manner. I would not recommend going to Baylor or to Dr. Ahmed unless you want your medical decisions to be pulled out from under you based on survival of the fittest.
